I’m a designer by trade, which means I spent a lot of time not sleeping and making things look pretty. Now I work with my husband and college roommate at a company we started called Wire&Twine. We wanted to keep making things, but on our own terms. It’s exhausting, but fun.
I like to take pictures and occasionally tell stories. I’ve been blogging privately since 2001. I finally made a public-ish blog recently becauae Chris wouldn’t stop bugging me. It is mostly really fun, but occasionally exhausting.
We live on an old farm. We have a tractor, sometimes bale hay, and are in the midst of building one whopper of a garden. This is exhausting. But fun!
I’m the mama of three kids, ages 3, 5, and 7. They spend a lot of time running wild through the fields, chasing animals, and doing all the things we wished we had done as kids. It’s possible part of the reason we had kids was an excuse to collect an obscene amount of Playmobil and Lego. They are exhausting, but supa-fun.
We have four chickens. We used to have five, but Professor Clucks left us last year, may she rest in peace. I can’t say enough good things about the chickens. (Well, except the poop.) They are not exhausting—just fun.
